The Excalibur hotel and casino was opened in 1990 as the largest hotel in the world, with over 4,000 rooms. The hotel has a medieval European theme and although it has been renovated over the years, it has still kept its medieval feel, including themed wall murals in some of the rooms.

Location

The Excalibur Hotel is situated on West Tropicana Avenue and South Las Vegas Boulevard, which is the southern end of the famous Las Vegas Strip.


Nearby hotel and casinos include the Mandalay Bay Hotel, the Luxor Hotel and Casino, Hooters Casino Hotel, The Tropicana Las Vegas, New York-New York Hotel and Casino, The Signature at MGM Grand, Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino, Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas and The Aria Resort and Casino.

There are connections from the Excalibur to these surrounding hotels via overhead pedestrian bridges, one directs into the New York-New York Hotel and Casino and the other connects to the Tropicana.

For those wondering where the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign is, The Excalibur is perfectly situated as it is only a 25-minute walk or 10-minute deuce bus ride to the sign.

The interstate 15 is 1 mile away from the Excalibur Hotel Las Vegas, making it easily accessible to nearby Las Vegas attractions and it is 2.8 miles away from the McCarran International Airport.

Bedrooms

The bedrooms in the Excalibur Hotel Las Vegas are very clean and spacious with a modern decor. There are around 11 different types of rooms, from the basic run of house room to a prestigious 2 bedroom luxury suite. All rooms have a hairdryer, air conditioning and large bathrooms with free toiletries.

We stayed in the resort tower queen room which hosts 2 comfortable queen beds and has a max occupancy of 4 people.

To get an incredible view of the Las Vegas strip from a room in the Excalibur, ask for room 17126.

The highlight of this room was the fantastic view of the Las Vegas strip and the Excalibur Castle.

Our Rating

Our stay at the Excalibur hotel and casino in Las Vegas was perfect, we had an incredible room with a view of the Las Vegas strip and the Excalibur castle. We were always kept entertained with the huge selection of facilities and amenities that this hotel has to offer.
This hotel is a backpackers dream, a luxurious experience for a cheap price.
