Someone believes that the castle appeared in the 10th century, but some archaeologists say that it first appeared in the Eighth. In the 14th century the castle was used as a prison, but during the plague, all sick people were sent there. After several innovations, Ashford castle was recognized as the best 5-star hotel in Ireland.

Frederiksborg

It is the seat of kings in the Danish city Hilarides, which to this day is one of the acknowledged creations of the Scandinavian Renaissance. Frederiksborg castle was built at the turn of 6 and 7 centuries by King Christian IV, who was famous among the people as a lover of art. In the mid-19th century, Denmark was hit by terrible frosts, which prompted one of the kings to light a fire in the fireplace. Then it was unknown that the chimney was faulty, and there was a huge fire, leaving behind only ruins. After this event, it was decided to reconstruct the castle as a museum.It was in the late 19th century. Now tourists can visit several rooms, where they have an opportunity to fully feel the atmosphere of those times.
