A simple pancake can be eaten any time of day and these delicious pancakes will leave you wanting more.

This Alkaline Pancake Recipe is really easy to prepare, using only 4 ingredients (plus oil for frying). They can be eaten as a snack, dessert, or main meal.

Equipment

– Pan suitable for Frying
– A Spatula
– Blender or Mixing Bowl

Preparation

Be sure to have enough hemp milk already prepared by following this homemade hemp milk recipe.

Ingredients

Remember, to keep in line with Dr. Sebi’s Alkaline Nutrition Plan, for this alkaline pancake recipe, use organic, non-canned fresh ingredients for optimal health.

This recipe makes 8 pancakes:

– 300g of Spelt Flour
– 500ml Hemp Milk
– 1 Tablespoon Irish Sea Moss (Optional – for added minerals and to thicken the mixture)
– 3 Dates to Sweeten (Optional)
– Grapeseed Oil for frying

Method

The method is really simple and only takes a few minutes to make.

1- Add all ingredients to a blender or mixing bowl and mix together for around 30 seconds – 1 minute or until all ingredients have combined and there are air bubbles.

2- Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan.

3- When the oil is starting to slightly bubble, pour some of the pancake mixture into the pan.

4- Make sure the layer is not too thick or the pancake may not cook properly.

5- After around 45 seconds – 1 minute, take a spatula and slightly lift the pancake.

6- If the underside has changed color, flip the pancake and cook the other side for the same amount of time.

7- They’ll only need around 1 minute on the first side and it should be quite liquidy on top and beginning to bubble. This will help them rise.

8- Repeat the process for each pancake.

Enjoy plain and simple or add any desired toppings.
